5 don'ts after a meal

There're 5 Big NO NO I tell my clients every time after the meal~~

1) Don't sleep immediately
- " I can sleep better when I am full"...Sound familiar??? lol...my bf used to say that=) The food we take will not be able to digest properly when we are lying down. Thus this will lead to gastric and infection in our intestine. Girlss out there, if you want a flat tummy, sleep immediately after a meal is a BIG NO NO!!!

2) Don't eat fruits immediately
- So, fruit after meal or before meal??? A lot of clients ask about this qs...Well, it is good to eat fruit after meal because fruits are rich in dietary fiber which helps the movement of food in small intestine. However, if you consume fruit right after your meal, this will cause stomach to be bloated with air. In addition, you are actually adding more burden to your stomach to digest more food. Therefore, in my opinion, the best time to take fruit is 1hours before meal (* papaya is the best food before meal, it aids in digestion) or 1-2 hours after meal.

3) Don't drink tea
- Why??Isn't it good to drink tea because it helps to remove all those oily stuff from the food we consume?
Oh my dear, it is wrong!! Tea leaves contain a high amount of acid that will cause the protein content in the food that we consume to be hardened thus difficult to digest.

4)Don't walk about
- People always say that a hundred steps after a meal will make you live till 99. In fact, this is not true. Nutrients of food is hard to absorb by our digestive system if we walk around after meal. So, take a 10-15mins rest after a meal before you walk around.

5)Don't bathe
- Bathing will cause the increase of blood flow to our hands, legs and body thus the amount of blood around the stomach will therefore decrease. This will weaken the digestive system in our stomach. So, take your shower before meal!!!

Body temperature VS Fats

I came through this page from a magazine and I think it explains perfectly on how important it is to always keep ourselves warm in order to avoid weight gain.

The left pic showing a butter on a hot pan starting to melt when the temperature is getting higher. So, just imagine the fats inside our body. If we maintain the temperature of our body in a desirable level, fats will melt and easily digest/burn off by our body. In contrast, the right pic showing a butter on a cold pan. Obviously, the butter doesn't melt. If the temperature of our body is low from time to time , this will lead to the accumulation of fats (especially visceral fat) inside our body because it cannot be burn off by our body.

So, guys and girls...always stay warm and keep yourselves warm especially you are working for a long hour inside your office!!!

Evening Primrose Oil (EPO)

Let's start up my blog with Evening Primrose Oil ( EPO)
I bet girls will like it the most=)

So, what is EPO??

Well, EPO is the oil from the seed of the evening primrose plant.

Evening Primrose Plant
EPO is a rich source of Omega-6 Essential Fatty Acid, namely Gamma Linolenic Acid (GLA) which can help safeguard our intake of key nutrients for helping to maintain hormonal balance and healthy looking skin.
Omega-6 food sources: walnuts, pecans, almonds, pumpkin and sesame seeds. These fats help to lower blood pressure, thin the blood, and help insulin to work, which keeps blood sugar levels in balance and helps reduce the cravings for sweet foods. *Keep in mind : High intake of sweet foods will improve growth of wrinkles and promote aging especially among women!!

Regular intake of  EPO will improve skin texture and function in healthy people:

Improvement:
-Moisture Content and retention
-Elasticity
-Firmness
-Strength and smoothness
 Desired Result:
-Tighten skin
-Reduce wrinkles
-Reduce dryness
-Youthful glow to normal healthy skin

You can definitely get this dietary supplement from your nearest health stores like Watson. There are various brands of EPO but all of them serve the same functions.

Contraindications:
- Certain people with poor fat digestion may feel nauseous when they start taking EPO. It is best taken in divided doses throughout the day.
- Some people might experience minor rashes and pimples when they first start of three capsules of EPO daily but these tend to subside after 8-12 weeks of regular supplementation.
